Renee earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Wichita State University in 2017. During her time at WSU, she was a four-year member of the Shocker Dance Team, helping lead the team to top honors at the national level with both NDA and UDA. As a dance major, Renee performed in numerous American College Dance Festivals, Kansas Dance Festivals, and university dance concerts. She was also a member of the Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre and, in 2016, toured internationally with the company in Mexico.

Following graduation, Renee began teaching and choreographing for studios across the Midwest. With a deep passion for the dance team environment, she has choreographed for many high school programs and served as Assistant Coach for the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Dance Team and Head Coach for the Bishop Carroll Dance Team from 2016–2020.

In addition to her work with competitive teams, Renee spent three years as a full-time dance educator at Brooks Magnet Middle School for STEM and the Arts, where she built a dance program that gave students the opportunity to develop their skills and passion for the art form.

Today, Renee is the owner and director of Renee’s Dance Academy in McPherson, KS, the Company Director of Encore! Dance Studios in Wichita, and Head Coach of the McPherson High School Dance Team. In her free time, she continues to share her love of dance by choreographing and teaching for schools and studios throughout the Midwest.
